Abstract
Objective To summarize and approach the experience in the diagnosis and treatment of malig⁃nant peritoneal mesothelioma. Methods The clinical data of malignant peritoneal mesothelioma from 2003 to 2013 in our hospital was analyzed by retrospective study. Results Patients with malignant peritoneal mesothe⁃lioma had no specific symptoms at the first time of being disease,and no gender difference. The median age of onset was 50 years old. The main clinical symptoms at doctors’visiting were abdominal distension(52%),the main positive signs in the hospital were abdominal mass(52%). In all 25 cases,23 patients had received CT scan before diagnosis, main on CT images were irregular thickness of peritoneum(47.8%). Postoperative patholo⁃gy was the major way of exact diagnosis (60%). The median survival time of all the patient with malignant perito⁃neal mesothelioma was 12 months, and 14 month in the pemetrexed combine with platinum for chemotherapy group. 3 cases received second line chemotherapy after first line chemotherapy failure in the advanced stage. Conclusion Low incidence of malignant peritoneal mesothelioma, preoperative diagnosis was difficult, as the main treatment was cytoreductive surgery. The chemotherapy of pemetrexed in combination with platinum could prolong the survival time of patients with tumor.关键词
