摘要

Abstract

In order to improve the performance of real-time communication and reliability in electricity information ac-quisition system , a proposal of electricity information acquisition based on plastic optical fiber has been put forward and a communication module using plastic optical fiber has been designed .This paper introduces the frame work of e-lectricity information acquisition system and analyzes characteristics of plastic optical fiber .As a local transmission channel , combining with series and parallel connection , plastic optical fiber can be designed for networking , which exists in electricity information acquisition system .According to the communication protocol between plastic optical fi-ber and electric meter interface , a communication module using plastic optical fiber can also be designed .Perfect per-formance of real-time communication and reliability was indicated by the result of field test .
