High-speed optical network meter reading system based on ARM and Linux

摘要

Abstract

At present, in the intelligent power system, the re⁃mote meter reading of resident users generally use low power line carrier channel(PLC). The PLC channel is not steady, causes few meter data, low communication success rate. To solve this problem, the optical network meter reading system is designed in embedded linux operating system on ARM9 AT91SAM9G25 chip. Based on communication protocol follow IEC62056, it designs high speed, steady, flexible system of meter reading network. The fibre⁃optical uses EPON communication fellow IEC62056. It can realize auto negotiation, automatic access. The experiment results confirm that the system can greatly improve the efficiency of meter reading, reli⁃ability and flexibility of the system.
