Effects of Dietary Chenodeoxycholic Acid on Lipid Metabolism and Performance of Breeding Hens and Muscle Development of Their Offspring
摘要
Abstract
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary chenodexycholic acids ( CDCA) on lipid metabolism and performance of breeding hens and muscle development of their offspring. Eighty 14⁃weeks⁃old dwarf yellow breeding hens were randomly divided into 5 groups with 16 replicates per group and 1 bird per replicate. Breeding hens in the control group were fed a basal diet, and the others in experimental groups were fed the diets supplemented with 10, 50, 100 and 500 mg/kg CDCA for 4 weeks, respectively. Fertilized eggs were collected and hatch in the last week, and the offspring after hatching were divided into 5 groups just as the breeding hens. Feeding trial lasted for 12 weeks. The results showed as follows: 1) dietary CDCA had no significant effects on body weight, laying rate and egg qualities of breeding hens (P>0.05). Compared with the control group, supplement of 100 mg/kg CDCA significantly increased the serum triglycer⁃ide ( TG) content of breeding hens ( P<0.05) , and significantly decreased the serum very low density lipopro⁃tein ( VLDL) content ( P<0.05) . Compared with the control group, supplement of 100 mg/kg CDCA signifi⁃cantly decreased the total bile acid ( TBA) content in ovo of breeding hens at 14 and 18 days ( P<0.05) , and significantly increased the contents of total cholesterol ( TC) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol ( LDL⁃C) in ovo (P<0.05). 2) Compared with the control group, supplement of 50 mg/kg CDCA significantly in⁃creased fiber density of gastrocnemius of offspring and liver percentage of male offspring (P<0.05), supple⁃ment of 100 mg/kg CDCA significantly decreased the average daily gain of female offspring, total protein dep⁃osition of gastrocnemius of male offspring and the activity of lactate dehydrogenase ( LDH ) of gastrocnemius of female offspring ( P<0.05) , supplement of 500 mg/kg CDCA significantly decreased the activity of succi⁃nate dehydrogenase ( SDH) of gastrocnemius of female offspring and the activity of LDH of gastrocnemius of male offspring ( P<0.05) . In conclusion, dietary CDCA has no significant effect on performance of breeding hens, but has significant effects on lipid metabolism and deposition in vov especially TBA deposition, and then suppress the muscle development of their offspring. Therefore, the dosage and the time of CDCA in the diet of breeding hens should be noticed.关键词
