Abstract
Conventional fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (AEO 2 )and narrow distribution AEO 2 purchased from market was separately analyzed by GC. The surface activity,foam performance,emulsifying performance, wetting power,and pour point of conventional fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether sodium sulfate (AES)and commercialized narrow distribution AES were investigated. Results showed that as a raw material for producing AES,the content of free fatty alcohol in the narrow distribution AEO 2 is lower than that in the conventional AEO2;while the content of 1EO to 4EO ethoxylates is higher. Narrow distribution AES is somewhat superior to conventional AES with respect to performance indices such as pour point,electrolyte thickening capacity,foam performance and wetting power,et al.关键词
