Quick analysis of the purity of dye based on the oblique projection-ultraviolet spectrum

Abstract
The rapid detection on dye purity was established by combination of oblique projection algo⁃rithm and UV- visible spectrometer. In this method, the spectrum data of reference dye solutions were ob⁃tained by chromatography associated with spectrum, and the effective components and background compo⁃nents were separated by oblique projection algorithm. At the same time, analysis model was established through measurement of the UV- visible spectral data of reference dye solutions about different concentra⁃tions. The effective dye components, background components and the purity of dye under test were calculat⁃ed by the UV- visible spectral data and the established model. Compared with the results of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), the relative error of this method was less than 2.5%. Therefore, the described method could be used in the production process to control quality, detect the purity of dye rapidly, and pro⁃vide a basis for the actual production process of dye.关键词
