Improved algorithm for adaptive waveform design of knowledge-aided and environment sensing

Abstract
In order to improve the performance on the transmitted waveform matching environment by the sky-wave over-the-horizon radar, we design the architecture of cognitive sky-wave over-the-horizon radar (CO-THR) and present an improved algorithm for waveform design of knowledge-aided and adaptive environment sensing, thus having an adaptive and optimum design of the transmitted waveforms by using the waveform knowl-edge base and the environment sensing information, according to the criteria of maximum signal-to-interfer-ence-plus-noise radio (SINR) of matched filter output and the similarity condition. Simulation results show this improved algorithm for waveform design of knowledge-aided and adaptive environment sensing is of better envi-ronment matching performance, and the designed wideband transmission waveform can enhance effectively the ra-dar’s SINR under the condition of the same frequency interference.关键词
