Optical performance research on a novel solar lighting system in the earthen sites museum

Abstract
The lighting of the earthen sites museum is one of the most complicated issues of cultural heritage conservation.This paper presents a novel solar lighting system,which utilizes the lighting scatter of the bubble film in the water to achieve the day lighting in the earthen sites museum.The operational principle of solar lighting system is introduced.Experimental study was performed to investigate the scattering performance of the bubble films in water.The effect of bubble films thickness,pressure and incident light illuminance on the transmittance rate and scattering illuminance was analyzed.The experimental results indicated that architectures lighting through lighting bubble film in water can be achieved,and the transmittance rate of the light decreased as the increasing water bubble abundance.The photometric of sidewall increased as the increasing pressure,incident light photometric and water body height.The transmittance rate of water body attenuated exponentially with the pressure.关键词
