Abstract

The effect of char from Municipal Soild Waste (MSW) on pyrolysis oil was explored by means of a fixed bed reactor and gas charomatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS).The products distribution and compounds of pyrolysis oil were investigated and analyzed.The result shown that when the temperature increased to 600 ℃,the yield of pyrolysis oil was 38.38%.When the char added up to 30%,the yield of pyrolysis oil reduced to 31.79%,the oxygen-carbon ratio of pyrolysis oil fallen from 0.20 to 0.10 and calorific value increased from 30.24 MJ/kg to 35.81 MJ/kg.The catalytic effect of char on pyrolysis oil was reduced when the ratios of char above 30%.When the char added up to 30%,the contact of the alcohols and carboxylic acids of pyrolysis oil were decreased by 19.18% and 13.73% respectively and the content of the esters and fatty hydrocarbons were increased by 27.69% and 5.63% respectively.The quality of pyrolysis oil improved by adding 30% char and the pyrolysis oil achieve heavy oil lightening.
