Abstract
Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of combination therapy of 0.1%tacrolimus ointment and short-term use of desonide cream for facial seborrheic dermatitis. Methods Sixty-four patients of facial seborrheic dermatitis were enrolled,and randomly divided into study group and control group. Patients in the study group were advised to use 0.05%desonide cream ifrstly and then to apply 0.1%tacrolimus ointment,twice daily. Five days later,desonide cream was discontinued and only tacrolimus ointment was used twice daily.Patients in the control group were advised to use tacrolimus ointment only,twice daily. The efifcacy and safety were evaluated 1,2,4,6 weeks later. Results One week, 2 weeks after the treatment, there were signiifcant differences between the study group and the control group in the clinical total score (P<0.05). But after 4 weeks treatment, the clinical total score of two groups had no signiifcant difference (P>0.05). Adverse events of burning were observed in 2 patients in the study group and 5 patients in the control group. It could relieve after less use of the ointment. Conclusion In the treatment of facial seborrheic dermatitis, the combination of tacrolimus ointment and esonide cream has long clinical remission period, low recurrence rate, and less adverse reactions.关键词
