Abstract
Objective To report short-term outcomes of the Li’s repositioning maneuver in patients with apogeotropic nystagmus horizontal semicircular benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (HC-BPPV). Methods Clinical data from patients with HC-BPPV and apogeotropic nystagmus(n=30)or geotropic nystagmus(n=43)seen from May 2014 to July 2016 were analyzed. The patients in both groups were treated with the Li’s repositioning maneuver. Results The efficacy rates on day 3 and one week after the Li’s repositioning maneuver were 83.7%and 95.3%in patients with geotropic nystagmus, and 90.0%and 96.7%in those with apogeotropic nystagmus, respectively (P>0.05). Conclusion The Li’s repositioning maneu-ver is an effective and simple treatment for HC-BPPV patients with apogeotropic nystagmus.关键词
