Downscaling methods of passive microwave remote sensing of soil moisture
摘要
Abstract
Passive microwave remote sensing has become one of the most important methods to monitor soil moisture.The spatial resolution of this remote sensing method is coarse and only used on global or large scales.High-resolution soil moisture is needed by downscaling soil moisture retrieved from passive remote sensing and related researches have become a hot topic.This article reviews methods currently applied.Merits, multivariate statistical regression,physically-based algorithm,weight disaggregation,data assimilation and spatial interpolation are compared and valued.Drawbacks of existing soil moisture downscaling methods are summarized,and future developments are outlined.关键词
