Detection of Isothermal Exponential Amplification Reaction Using Terahertz Metamaterials

Abstract
Metamaterial has a dielectric environmentally sensitive and local electric-field enhancement in electro⁃magnetic field,It was widely used in label-free biodetection in recent years. We designed and fabricated a metama⁃terial structure assembled by split ring resonator. Before and after the isothermal exponential amplification reaction system were detected at the terahertz band. In dry nitrogen gas environment,the resonance frequency offset wereΔf1=(54±3)GHz andΔf2=(60±5)GHz at before and after reaction.The experimental result show that the metamateri⁃al assembled by split ring resonator can be used as a biosensor for rapid label-free detection in changes of before and after nucleic acid amplification.关键词
