摘要

Abstract

There exists temperature gradient along axial direction of the conductor in high voltage (HV)cable joint under the condition of stable loading current,and whether installing glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP)protection shell may affect axial temperature distribution of the joint. In order to analyze influence of glass FRP protection shell on axial temperature distribution of the intermediate joint of cable,a set of experiment system for large current temperature rise for HV cable is designed and experiments on 630 mm2 cable joint respectively with glass FRP protection shell and without glass FRP protec-tion shell under the condition of stable loading current are finished. Experimental results indicate that the glass FRP protec-tion shell will make axial and radial temperature of the cable joint both increase and influence scope of the joint on the con-ductor also increases.
