Abstract
In recent years, with the rapid development of China's rural economy, and the gradual transformation of rural life style and production patterns, the environmental problems in rural areas continue to change in forms�Although relevant departments have introduced a raft of rural environmental protection policies, and developed a large number of rural environmental protection infrastructure, the response measures still lag behind the actual needs for solving the rural environmental problems�Hence, we propose the following five countermeasures to protect the rural environment, in light of the status quo of the environmental problems in the countryside: first, national-level documents need to be introduced on the protection of rural environment, in order to demonstrate the State will; second, financial inputs need to be dramatically increased, so that the integrated village environment management will be carried out on a national scale; third, the governments need to take the responsibility for environmental protection, and local governments need to be urged to observe the bottom lines set for rural environmental quality; fourth, it is necessary to establish and perfect the schemes and mechanisms of rural environmental protection; fifth, efforts need to be made to strengthen the farmers’ environmental protection training and education, enhance farmers'consciousness of environmental protection and awareness of self-protection.关键词
