Health Risk Assessment of Heavy Metals of Street Dust from Northwest Guangxi Mining Area
摘要
Abstract
This study focused on the characterization and the health risk assessment of heavy metals in the dust of Northwest Guangxi Mining Area� Totally 28 dust samples were collected from the road surfaces� Concentrations of Cd、 As、 Pb、 Cu、and Zn were measured to investigate their distribution and evaluate their risk to human health� The US EPA Health Risk Assessment Model was employed to evaluate the potential health risk of those heavy metals in the street dust� The results showed that concentrations of Cd、 As、 Pb、 Cu、 and Zn higher than soil background values, Cd was 950 times, As、 Zn、Pb and Cu were347、 91、 52 and25 times� The total non-carcinogenic hazard index of the five metals for children was 247�58, adults was 34�36, both exceeded the safety threshold value(1�0), the cancer risk of As was 9�29×10-6, higher than the average risk thresholds of the heavy metals� The way of chronic daily average exposure was ingestion>dermal>inhalation taken.关键词
