摘要

Abstract

The paper summarizes the grating encoder of motion control system. The measurement principles and structure models of the grating encoder are presented. The type of sensors used in the linear position detection and main characteristics of the grating encoder is discussed. The main reference performance indexes for selecting the grating encoder from the range, resolution and space and other aspects are also presented. The paper makes a comparison about the main production companies which produce closed, open, incremental and absolute type grating encoders and representative products both in home and abroad,and analyzes their applied fields. It is valuable for the grating encoder to apply in motion system.
