A Review on the Translation of Historical Records Home and Abroad
摘要
Abstract
Historical Records is a monumental historical work written by Sima Qian , the famous Chinese historian of the early Han Dynasty , and has been exerting a profound influence on later development of history and literature with its characteristics of ac -curate history, lofty style and vivid image, depicting up the scene of people ’ social life in three thousand years before Han Dynasty . It has been translated into various languages and each version has its unique way of representation when the translator picked up dif -ferent strategies .The reasons for translator ’ s adjustments may include social particularities of his time , the main purpose he was to achieve and how well the readers have been prepared .Thus, related researches on the translated versions are of high importance to make the later job more reasonable , better acceptable and more professional , so as to efficiently help the effective dissemination of Chinese culture all over the world .关键词
