硅氧烷近晶相单体的合成及应用
Synthesis and application of organosiloxane smectic liquid crystals

Abstract
In order to improve the view angle,the haze of clear state and the bistable property of smart window by polymer dispersed liquid crystal(PDLC),we have synthesized an organosiloxane smectic liquid crystal with long carbon chain and prepared simple optical bistable device by using this material. This oganosiloxane smectic liquid crystal was synthesized from 10-bormodec-1-ene,4’-hydroxybiphe-nyl-4-carbonitrile and 1,1,1,3,3,5,5-heptamethyltrisiloxane in high yield.The molecular structure was confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)and elemental analysis (EA).We also measured the parameters and the performances of this compound and the liquid crystal mixture by polarizing op-tical microscope(POM)and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).Simple optical bistable device was prepared by several steps including substrate surface treatment,preparation of liquid crystal cell, aging of the cell and so on.This optical bistable device has wide smectic phase temperature range (-62℃~60℃),low driving voltage(50 V),excellent parameters at clear state(haze = 0.06%, parallel light transmittance = 90.34%),good view angle and bistable property only need to be electri-fied when switching the state.This organosiloxane smectic liquid crystal can be used to improve the parameters of the smectic liquid crystal mixture.The preparation method is simple and economical, which can also realize industrialization easily and plays an important role to promote the popularization of smart glass market.关键词
