Abstract
Objective To study the clinical application and serum concentration monitoring of oxcarbazepine for children with epilepsy. Methods 62 cases of children confirmed as epilepsy in neurology department from July 2014 to December 2014 were selected and di-vided into the observation group ( n=31 ) and the control group ( n=31 ) according to random number table method. The two groups were given oxcarbazepine treatment. On this basis, the observation group was monitored serum concentration. The serum concentrations of MHD which was the metabolite of oxcarbazepine were monitored by HPLC. The follow up was 6 months, and the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of two groups were evaluated. Results In the observation group, the total effective rate was 93. 55%, the rate of adverse reac-tions was 12. 90%;in the control group, the total effective rate was 74. 19%, the rate of adverse reactions was 35. 48%, the differences were statistically significant ( P ﹤ 0. 05 ) . Conclusion It's important to formulate individualized dosing regimen based on serum concen-tration of oxcarbazepine, which can ensure clinical efficacy and reduce incidence of ADR.关键词
