Extraction Method and Structural Characteristics of Extracellular Polymeric Substances in Different Sludge Samples
摘要
Abstract
According to the functional and structural characteristics of sludge in wastewater biological treatment systems , the performance comparison among the extraction methods of extracellular polymeric substances ( EPS) were conducted in this research.The EPS composition of different sludge samples were also analyzed, based on dissolved oxygen level in reactors, microbe nutritional types and spatial structure etc. In addition, the important role of EPS component on cultivation of some microbial aggregates, such as completely autotrophic nitrogen removal granular sludge, was emphasized.关键词
