摘要
Abstract
Developing new catalyst with reduced Pt dependency,improved oxygen reduction reaction activity and high stability is essential for the commercialization of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs). So far,the platinum-based materials have been the best electrocatalyst used in PEMFCs. This paper reviews various methods to improve the catalyst’s activity and stability,including surface modification,covering,alloying,the modulation of geometry,electronic structure and crystal structure,enhancing interaction of catalyst/carrier,etc. The solution to the problems of high price and scarcity of Pt is to exploit low-cost non-precious electrocatalysts,which need scientific breakthroughs in as areas of catalytic theory,rational design and synthesis of non-precious electrocatalysts,ordered membrane electrode,and fuel cell water and heat management.关键词
