Managing and Planning the Atlantic:from Regional to Global Maritime Strategy
摘要
Abstract
Managing and planning the Atlantic Ocean is a strategic choice for China’ s future and the establishment of the maritime power. It’ s also a future trend for China’ s maritime strategy progressing from regional to global. This paper briefly explained the transformation of the inter-national oceanic order in the process of globalization and the appropriate changes of each nation’ s maritime strategies,then moved on to analyze the significant historical and present strategic meaning of the Atlantic,and discussed the potential to investigate Atlantic from the perspective of geographical position,maritime trade,shipping security and oceanic resource exploitation. Based on the gradual operation of the Arctic Sea Route,the paper further analyzes the opportunity for future management and planning of the Atlantic. On this basis was prioritized the strategic con-sideration of the Atlantic was analyzed,then the economic and trade cooperation,safeguarding the oceanic order,scientific investigation and resource exploitation at the present stage.关键词
