Abstract
Objective:To explore the expression changes of Sclerostin during human fracture and healing in order to intervene its expression,and provide experimental reference for promoting healing, reducing nonunion complications ,and releasing pain of the pa-tients.Methods:50 patients (aged between 18 and 70 years) with meta-/diaphyseal fractures of long bone (humerus,femur, lower leg, and forearm) and 30 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this study.All patients were followed up for 3 months after the operation.Peripheral venous blood was obtained from each patient at 1,2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 weeks after surgery,and then measure-ment of sclerostin.Statistical analyses were performed using the student T-test.Results: In the patients,the concentration of the sclerostin are 13.45 ±4.1 pmol/L (after fracture);14.76 ±7.5 pmol/L(1 week after surgery);17.31 ±5.9 pmol/L(2 weeks after surgery) ;19.56 ±8.4 pmol/L(4 weeks after surgery);17.20 ±4.1 pmol/L(6 weeks after surgery) ;21.16 ±9.1 pmol/L (8 weeks after surgery);20.23 ±7.4 pmol/L(12weeks after surgery);In the controls,the concentration of Sclerostin are fluctua-tion between7.40 ±1.2 and 7.56 ±2.5pmol/L;The comparison between the patient's SOST level and the control serum revealed significantly higher levels for the patients at all measurement time points(P <0.05)Conclusion: The concentration of Sclerostin should be strongly enhanced during human fracture healing.关键词
