摘要

Abstract

Track maintenance work is frequently conducted in weak sections of ballasted track, and the track geometry is difficult to maintain. Track structure can be strengthened by bonding ballast with polyurethane geocomposites, and maintenance cycle can also be extended. This paper classifies and summarizes polyurethane ballast-bonding practices in weak sections of ballasted track overseas and compares them with the applications in China. The results include the summary of the ballast-bonding section forms used at home and abroad, the comparison and analysis of the applications of polyurethane ballast-bonding technology in new line of the transition zone between ballasted and ballastless sections with suggested bonding form for the zone. The existing railway should use ballast glue to consolidate ballast bed and choose suitable bonding section form depending on the location of defects and drainage function of subgrade.
