Abstract
Objective To study the effect and safety of metformin in the treatment of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes melitus in community.Methods Select diabetic older 90 patients for the study,according to the random number table divided into control group and observation group,45 cases in each group. In the control group were treated with repaglinide treatment,the observation group were treated with metformin,glycemic control and adverse reactions between the two groups of patients were observed.Results Treatment of patients in the observation group total effective rate was 95.6%,significantly higher than 80.0%,the difference was statisticaly significant(P<0.05); fasting blood glucose,postprandial 2 h blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin levels were observed in patients(6.1± 1.0)mmol/L,(7.1±1.7)mmol/L,(9.4±2.0)%,significantly lower than the control group(8.0±1.6)mmol/L,(8.3±1.6)mmol/L, (10.7±2.3),the diference was statisticaly significant(P<0.05);adverse reactions observed in patients incidence of 6.7%, significantly lower than the 22.2% in the control group,the difference was statisticaly significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Metformin community elderly type 2 diabetes patients help control blood sugar,and can reduce the risk of various types of adverse events,safe.关键词
