Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between serum uric acid level and carotid artery atheroscl- erosis in elderly patients with hypertension.Methods Select the Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital on 12 May 2013 to March 2015 were treated 93 cases of elderly hypertensive patients for the study,based on ultrasound carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) measurement results are grouped carotid atherosclerosis 51 patients group a,patients with normal carotid artery 42 cases of group B.Two groups of patients were total cholesterol,more body mass index, systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure, uric acid,creatinine and other indicators observed with carotid IMT correlation.Results A group of patients with systolic blood pressure,total cholesterol, uric acid levels were significantly higher than group B,the differences were statisticaly significant (P<0.05).In patients with a body mass index,systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,total cholesterol,creatinine,uric acid as an independent variable,carotid IMT as dependent variable showed that carotid IMT and uric acid was positively correlated (r=0.423, P<0.05).Conclusion Serum uric acid level and carotid artery MIT in elderly patients with hypertension are positively correlated,which can be used as the main indicators of prognosis.关键词
