Abstract
This paper provided the comparison of the two main driving mode for the FSM( fast steering mirror) used in inter-satellite optical communication system. It is demonstrated that the piezoelectric driven FSMs would be more suitable than the FSMs driven by voice coil for satellite platforms when the limited operating ranges of piezoelectric materials can be enlarged through the implementing of the amplifying mechanism and structural optimization. Consequently,a novel piezoelec-tric FSM validated by experiment resultsis introduced in this paper,which achieves an optical angular range of ± 3° with the design of compact size,light weight,and low energy consumption,showing the applicability for the inter-satellite optical com-munication system.关键词
