Abstract

The composite slab composed of profiled steel plate and light aggregate concrete has the advantages of both lightweight aggregate concrete and ordinary concrete composite slabs. So it has wide popularization value and application prospect in the new high⁃rise, long⁃span structures. To evaluate the longitudinal resistance of profiled steel sheeting and lightweight aggregate concrete composite slabs in this study, 11 full scale test pieces of profiled steel sheeting and light weight concrete composite slabs, were designed to conduct static loading test, analyze the destructive process, and de⁃scribe the failure modes of the specimens. This can obtain load and deflection curves and bending moment⁃end relative slip curves of composite slabs to analyze and compare the shear⁃bond behavior of composite slabs through m⁃k method and partial shear method, respectively. Also it can propose calculation formula based on engineering application. There⁃fore, results indicated that obvious slippage and shear bond damage were observed at the ends of all tested pieces. The load⁃carrying capacity of composite slabs was influenced by shear⁃span length, slab height, sheet thickness and shear connectors. The increase in thickness of steel sheet composite panels and end studs setting can effectively improve the work performance of composite slabs combined with two kinds of cooperative materials. Secondly, shear⁃bond coefficients ( m and k) and design stress of shear bond stress (τu,k ) perfectly illustrated the longitudinal shear bond capacity of com⁃posite slabs. So this study can provide a reference to the practical engineering design of composite slabs prepared by pro⁃filed steel plate and lightweight aggregate concrete.
