Abstract
In order to meet the demand of high transmittance for large size products,we research the application of negative LC in ADS technology.First,we introduce the development progress and main features of ADS technology.And then,we analyze the relationship between negative LC parameters and ADS display characteristics.Finally,we evaluate the features of different negative LC matching with different PI materials.Among the parameters of negative LC,Δn greatly affects on transmit-tance,|Δε| and K mainly impact on response time and operation voltage,γ1 has great influence on RT.The transmittance of negative LC is about 8% higher than that of positive LC,but the RT is in-creased by ~50%.The matching of negative LC and PI materials is worse than positive LC,and it has significant impact on imaging sticking.The product performance can be optimized by adjusting the negative liquid crystal parameters.The transmittance can be greatly improved by using of negative LC,but the response time and image sticking should be greatly improved for large size display.Re-sponse time can be fasted by lower γ1 of LC,but it may be not enough,further optimizing the pixel structure is also necessary.Image sticking can be improved by enhancing the stabilized of LC,while the development of PI material for negative LC is also very important.关键词
