Abstract
ABSTRACT:This paper investigated the impact of the natural resonant frequency and the corresponding resistance of the driving-point impedances on the electrical negative damping of subsynchronous torsional modes. It was proposed that the two parameters were the two critical parameters for the electrical negative damping of subsynchronous torsional modes. Thus, the sensitivity indexes of natural resonant frequency and the corresponding resistance on parameters of electrical elements were defined. On the base of the two sensitivity indexes, the quantitative method was developed to identify the study zone border buses for SSR modeling. Finally, the IEEE New England 10-machine 39-bus system modified by using IEEE FBM for SSR computation was used to validate the proposed method. The simulation results by the Prony method and PSCAD/EMTDC justify the proposed method for SSR modeling in time and frequency domains.关键词
