Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of resveratrol on longevity ofCaenorhabditis elegans(C.elegans) and its potential mechanism. Methods:Three types ofC.elegans,wild type (N2),daf-2 mutant(e1370) anddaf-16 mutant(mu86) were cultured with different concentrations of resveratrol(0、25、50、100μmol·L-1). The survival rates weremeasured and the effect of resveratrol on life span was recorded. Results:Compared with the DMSO group,significantly extension of the normal life span of three types ofC.elegans(N2,daf-2 anddaf-16 mutants) was observed containing 25、50、100μmol·L-1resveratrol.Conclusion:Resveratrol can extend the life span ofC.elegans,possible not associated withDAF-2/insulin-like signaling pathway.关键词
