Abstract
Objective:To investigate the application value of routine blood routine test in differential diagnosis of thalassemia and iron deficiency anemia. Method:40 cases of thalassemia patients(the THAL group),40 cases of iron deficiency anemia patients(the IDA group) admitted to our hospital from October 2014 to October 2015,and 40 cases of healthy persons underwent physical examination(the healthy group) in our hospital at the same period were selected as the objects.The blood indexs of the three groups were compared.Result:The differences were statistically significant among the three groups in Hb,RBC,RDW, MCV,MCH,and MCHC levels(P<0.05).The levels of Hb,RBC,and RDW in the THAL group were(92.85±14.83)g/L,(4.84±0.73)×1012/L,(0.18±0.03)%, which were higher than (73.18±22.19)g/L,(3.65±0.56)×1012/L and (0.15±0.02)% in the IDA group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences were not statistically significant on the levels of MCV,MCH and MCHC between the THAL group and the IDA group(P>0.05).Conclusion:For the THAL and IDA patients,Hb,RBC,and RDW in the blood routine test can be reference indexes in differential diagnosis,the blood routine test can effectively distinguish the two kinds of anemia,provide effective clinical basis,it is worthy of popularizing and application.关键词
