Abstract

To investigate the soil nutrient status and adsorption characteristics of Cunninghamia lanceolata seed orchard, the characters of soil nutrient adsorption were observed and the nutrient limit factors were discovered by potting experiment and by the system diagnosis method of soil nutrient status. The results showed that the content of P was 6.8 mg•L-1 that was a little more than the critical value of P in a third generation C. lanceolata seed orchard. The contents of Ca and Mg were 99. 9 and 14. 9 mg•L-1 , respectively, that was far below the critical value of Ca and Mg in the United States International Agricultural Service Center. The content of B, Cu, Mn, Zn and S were 0. 78, 2. 6, 11. 1, 2. 5 and 67. 7 mg•L-1 , which was rich. The soil adsorption rate of phosphorus was 53.9% which was the highest. According to the result of potted experiment, the order of nutrient deficiency in the Chinese fir seed orchard soil was P>Ca>N>Mg and the trace elements were in surplus. Therefore P, Ca fertilizer should be increased when applying N fertilizer and the use efficiency of N, P fertilizer will be improved so as to realize soil nutrient balance during the third generation Chinese fir seed orchard management.
