摘要

Abstract

As renewable generations, DC transmissions, static compensations and AC drives etc getting widespread applications in power systems, semiconductor based flexible power conversion devices has been displacing more traditional electromagnetic devices in power systems reaching to a level that has been threatening secure operation of the system. After conceptual analysis of typical generation, transmission and load equipments on its controls, dynamic response characteristics as well as impacts on system operations, the paper pointed out the multi-time scale feature of the dynamical problems in future power electronics dominated power systems, and proposed a generalized modeling, analyzing and controlling methodology, based on the magnitude/phase motion equations, self-stabilizing/en-stabilizing properties and generalized stabilizer concepts.
