辽宁北部秀水地区中侏罗统地层的厘定及其地质意义
The determination of the middle Jurassic strata in Xiush- ui area, northern Liaoning Province, and its geological significance

Abstract
Through basic geological investigation of oil and natural gas, the authors studied the data of drill holes, lithologic assembly and paleontology fossils for a coal-bearing rock formation distributed along the Xiushui River. The result indicates that the geologi⁃cal age of the coal-bearing rock formation is Middle Jurassic, and the stratigraphic horizon is correlated with Haifanggou Formation in western Liaoning Province. The confirmation of the geological age of this coal-bearing rock formation offers important informa⁃tion for studying tectonic evolution and searching for the bed of source rock in the prospecting for oil and natural gas.关键词
