摘要
Abstract
Purpose/Signiifcance]Under the background of developing the constructure of think tanks with Chinese characteristics, this paper aims to investigate the governmental top think tank——President’s Council of Advisorson Science and Technology (PCAST), whose history and developmental stance offer refernces and lessons to the system of science and technology consultant in China.[Method/Process]This paper adopts case study as the main method, collecets information by literature research and website investigation, refers to research reports from the PCAST, in order to analyze the PCAST’s history, working mechanism, personnel structure, and the relationship with the Office of Science and Technology Policy.[Result/Conclusion] The PCAST plays an important role in promoting the White House policy and plan implementation. By absorbing the essence of the PCAST, this paper ifnds the defects and puts forward the three constructive suggestions to the system of science and technology consultant in China,.关键词
