Abstract
Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy and safety of ceftazidime and cefepime in the treatment of moderate and severe lower respiratory infection.Methods:A total of 157 patients with moderate and severe lower respiratory infection who were admit-ted in our hospital from October 2014 to July 2015 were selected and randomly divided into group A (79 cases)and group B (78 ca-ses)by random number table.Group A was treated with cefepime while group B with ceftazidime,7 days as a course of treatment,for to-tally 2 courses.Clinical efficacy,bacterial clearance rate,recovery time,drug sensitivity and adverse reaction rate were compared be-tween two groups after treatment.Results:There was no significant difference between two groups in clinical efficacy,recovery time,drug sensitivity and rate of adverse reactions (P >0.05),but group A markedly higher than group B in bacterial clearance rate (P <0.01 ). Conclusion:Both ceftazidime and cefepime have certain efficacy in the treatment of lower respiratory tract infection,but the latter is the first choice in clinic because it is higher in bacterial clearance rate.关键词
