摘要

Abstract

Talus,a peculiar geomorphologic landscape,is found in the Huanren section along the Tianshifu-Huanren Railway which is under construction.Focusing on the characteristics and formation of the talus landscape,this paper carries out field investigation and remote sensing interpretation.The results show that the talus may be an ancient stone river or block field which originates from periglacial landform.The distri-bution of the talus is closely related to the Diaoyutai Formation,Neoproterozoic.The Diaoyutai Formation is mainly composed of hard rocks of quartz sandstone with developed joint fissures,which benifits freeze-thaw weathering to form the talus.Meanwhile,quartz sandstone is resistant to chemical weathering and able to be kept for a long time until now.The research not only provides practical guiding significance for engineering construction involving talus,but also helps enrich the content of Benxi National Geological Park and promotes the construction of the characteristic landscape.
