Abstract
Reservoir bank collapse is one of the most severe geological disasters,which influences the immi-gration engineering in the reservoir of hydropower stations.Therefore,it is necessary to study the types and forecasting methods of bank collapse and obtain the final width of bank collapse.Through investigating the geology about bank collapsing of the key segments of a hydropower station reservoir,this paper finds two main bank-collapsing types,namely,the wash and abrasion type,and the collapse sliding type.Then,the pa-per analyzes some common methods of forecasting bank collapse and determines to use the modified two-section method to predict the final width of bank collapse.With the methods of field survey and engineering analogy,the paper also ascertains the forecasting parameters.Finally,the results of bank collapse forecas-ting show that the total length of bank collapse is 30.5 km and the final width is 5~50m,which provides an important basis for the immigration engineering of the reservior.关键词
