Analysis of Phosphor Powder and Removal of Mercury from Waste Mercury-containing Lamps

Abstract
The waste tubular fluorescent lamps,energy saving lamps and high-pressure mercury lamps usu-ally use phosphor powder added with mercury,and the mercury pollution hence caused has being endange-ring human health and ecological safety.This paper not only focuses on particle size distribution,mercury and plastics content in phosphor powder samples with different sizes,but analyzes how the heating temper-ature and time effect the mercury distillation.The results indicate that the content of plastics accounts for 1.00%,glass particles with the size greater than 150μm,above 72.00%,and mercury content is only 9 mg/kg.The optimum conditions for mercury distillation with tube type furnace is constant nitrogen gas flow 2 . 0 L/min,heating temperature 700℃,reaction time 240 min.With this condition,the mercury distillation ef-ficiency reaches 6 1 .1 1%~9 5 .2 6%.关键词
