Abstract
Objective :To investigate the prevalence and clinical characteristics of depression in Baoding municipal general hospital inpatients for the relevant departments to carry out the work to provide the basis of mental health . Methods :A hospital - based cross - sectional study was conducted in three - ranked general hospitals in Baoding cit‐y ,a total of 1306 patients completed general survey and self - rated Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale .The pa‐tients whose HAD scores were 8 and above were interviewed by psychiatrists ,psychiatric diagnoses were made ac‐cording to the DSM - IV criteria by using the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (M IN I) .Results :81 hospitalization cases were checked .the adjusted occurrence rate of depressive disorder of the inpatients in city general hospitals was 12 .8% ;Occurrence among the top five departments were cardiology department ,neurology depart‐ment ,digest and endocrinology department ,oncology and gynecology department .Conclusion :The occurrence of the major depressive disorder among the inpatients in general hospitals in Baoding City is higher ,many patients with de‐pression are associated with anxiety .关键词
