Abstract
Objective :To examine the relationship between mental health and coping style among women's prison police .Methods :716 prison police were administered with Symptom Checklist - 90 (SCL - 90)and Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ) .Results :① There were significant higher scores for somatization ,obsessive - compul‐sive ,depression and anxiety factors between the prison police compared with the norm of Chinese (t = 4 .27 ,2 .76 , 2 .55 ,4 .84 ;P < 0 .05) .② The scores of SCL - 90 and MCMQ were different among different demographic characteris‐tics .③ Avoidance coping style was positively torrelated with somatization ,depression ,anxiety and paranoid factor (r= 0 .29 ,0 .30 ,0 .26 ,0 .22 ;P < 0 .05) .Resignation coping style was positively torrelated with obsessive - compulsive ,in‐terpersonal sensitivity ,anxiety ,hostility and paranoid factors (r = 0 .34 ,0 .32 ,0 .28 ,0 .25 ,0 .23 ;P < 0 .05) .Conclusion :The mental health level of women's prison police is lower than the norm of national adults .They often use passive coping style ,which is harmful for maintaining mental health .关键词
