Research on Cultural Consumption and Social Integration of New Citizens

Abstract
The core of new-type urbanization is personal urbanization.Cultural consumption has the functions of enlighten-ment education, enhancing social interaction, and promoting harmonious relationship, and it is an important implicit factor promo-ting new citizens’ urban social integration and realizing personal urbanization.Based on the related literatures, this study divides cultural consumption into education type and recreation type , and divides social integration into the following 4 dimensions:eco -nomic integration, behavioral adaptation, cultural identity, and psychological integration.Using the theories of human capital, cultural consumption, and symbolic interaction, this article analyzes the influences of two types of cultural consumption on four di-mensions of social integration of new citizens , and puts forward some strategy recommendations for promoting the social integration of new citizens through cultural consumption .关键词
