Abstract
This article traces back to three trends of Vitruvius’ mechanics: theoretical geometry, practical geometry and mechanics, which origin from the same heritage of scientific intentions of Alexandria, is to demonstrate his empirical judge to the rational proportion is a resonance of an intelectual tradition and Roman reality rather than exclusive consequence of an import Greek harmonic cosmology.关键词
