Abstract
Objective To explore the reliability and validity of the Career Success Scale (Chinese version) and to analyze the status of career success of infusion nursing specialists. Methods A total of 132 clinical infusion nursing specialists were investigated with the Career Success Scale (Chinese version). The reliability and validity of the scale were tested, and t-test and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the questionnaire data. Results The Cronbach’sαof the total scale was 0.87 and the factor load of each item was over 0.70. The content validity of each subscale was all higher than 0.77 ( P<0.01). Half of the infusion nursing specialists obtained excellence in career success evaluation. There was statistical difference in inner-organizational competency of nursing specialists with different gender and position (P<0.05) and there was statistical significance in the total score the scale and career satisfaction of nursing specialists from hospitals with different levels and professional titles ( P<0.05). The difference of outer-organizaitonal competency of nursing specialists with different professional titles indicated statistical significance ( P<0.05). Conclusion The Career Success Scale (Chinese version) is reliable and valid, which could be used to measure the career success of infusion nursing specialists. Career Success score of infusion nursing specialists is in the mediate and above level and sex, professional title, position and hospital level are the influence factors.关键词
