Seismic Response of Continuous Beam Bridges with Cable-modulus Expansion Joints
摘要
Abstract
The cable-modulus expansion joints are introduced to prevent the unseating and pounding of the adjacent girders of the multi-span continuous bridges subjected to strong earthquakes. Firstly, there is a brief introduction of the working principle and mechanical modeling of the device. Secondly, a 3D model of a triple continuous beam bridge was established. Lastly, the relative displacements and shear forces at the bottom of the piers under different site soil and seismic intensity were calculated respectively. The results present that the device can significantly reduce the relative displacement of the adjacent girders and prevent the pounding under different site soil and seismic intensity. What’ s more, the cable bearing comprised of cables and normal bearing can not only limit the relative displacement, but also make the seismic forces attribute uniformly at each pier of the bridge, which can really realize the perfect coordination of force and displacement.关键词
