摘要

Abstract

A new type of FSS superstrate structure meeting the conditions of resonant frequency in broadband range is proposed to solve the problem of narrow gain bandwidth in traditional Fabry⁃Perot (FP) resonant antenna.A novel microstrip antenna is fabricated by using the double⁃layer FSS as the superstrate,and the double⁃layer FSS is integrated into a single medium plate. The gain and gain bandwidth enhancement of the antenna is attributed to the positive reflection phase gradient of the overlying strata element.The measured and simulation results show that as compared with the traditional structure,the gain after loading FSS structure is increased in a wider bandwidth and the antenna profile is obviously reduced.
