Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of tissue-selecting therapy(TST) and procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids(PPH) in the treatment of severe mixed hemorrhoids. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with severe mixed hemorrhoids treated in our hospital from October 2012 to December 2013 were divided into the TST group and PPH group according to the random number table method ,60 cases in each group. The two groups respectively adopted the TST and PPH therapy. The total effect,operation time,intraoperative hemorrhage,postoperative pain score,postoperative hemafecia score, hospitalization duration,anal tenesmus feeling,anal stenosis,urine retention,recurrence and satisfaction score were compared between the two groups. Results The cure rate in the PPH group was 91.7%(55/60) and which in the TST group was 90.0%(54/60), the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05);the TST group was superior to the PPH group in the aspects of intraoperative hemorrhage,postoperative pain score,urinary retention,rectal tenesmus feeling,postoperative hemafecia socre,satisfaction score and hospitalization duration,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no difference in the operative time,anal stenosis and postoperative recurrence between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Compared with PPH,TST has the advantages of less trauma,quick recovery,fewer complications and higher satisfaction,and is worth further promotion in clinic.关键词
