严复的“自然之教育”思想及其意义
Yan Fu’ s“Natural Education” Thought and Its Significance

Abstract
Both in modern China and in the history of the whole Chinese educational thoughts ,Yan Fu’ s“natural education” thought is unique and refreshing .“Natural education”is Yan Fu's dominant edu‐cation concept ,including his improvement of the traditional education concept .In short ,“natural edu‐cation”aims to change the Chinese tradition of “self mind is master” ,guiding the educated to walk out of school ,read nature ,learn and master the law s of nature .From the view of practice ,“natural edu‐cation” regards children’ s education as the starting point and encourages Yan Fu to show great con‐cern for the early childhood education .From the aims of his speaking ,“natural education”has obvious purpose of reality ,w hich suggests that Yan Fu’ s education thought focused on the purpose of saving the nation from perishing ,which is consistent with other modern thinkers .From the view of his thought origin ,his thought was influenced mainly by Darwin ’ s theory of biological evolution and Spencer’ s theory of social organism ,w hich reflects the uniqueness of Yan Fu’ s educational thought , and indicates his theory style different from other modern thinkers .关键词
